We're here to help.
Ekadashi Calendar Alarm is a quiet, ad-free app — built and maintained by one person. If something isn't working, or you have a question about the app, write to us. We read every message.
About the app
Ekadashi Calendar Alarm helps you observe Ekadashi — the 11th lunar day of each fortnight — with a clean calendar, gentle push reminders, and an estimated parana (fast-breaking) window for your location. There is no login or account, and the app is available in English, Russian, and Hindi.
Quick help
How do I enable push notifications?
On first launch the app will ask for permission. If you skipped or denied it, you can re-enable notifications from your device settings: iOS Settings → Notifications → Ekadashi → Allow Notifications, or Android Settings → Apps → Ekadashi → Notifications. Then open the app once so it can register.
How do I change reminder timing (1, 2 or 3 days before)?
Open Settings from the main screen and pick the number of days before each Ekadashi to be reminded — or turn reminders off entirely. The change applies immediately.
How do I set my city for parana time?
In Settings you can either allow location access or pick your country and city manually. Parana is estimated from sunrise and sunset in that location.
How do I switch language?
Tap the small language badge on the main screen to switch between English, Russian, and Hindi. The choice is remembered.
My notifications stopped working — what should I check?
First, check that notifications are allowed in your device settings, and that battery-saving or Focus / Do Not Disturb modes are not blocking them. Then open the app once with a working internet connection so it can refresh its push token. If reminders are still missing after the next Ekadashi, please email us with your device model.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There is no login, password, or sign-up. Just open the app and set your preferences.
How accurate is the parana time?
Parana is an estimate based on local sunrise and sunset. Different traditions calculate it slightly differently. For strict observance, please follow guidance from your teacher, temple, or lineage.
How do I report an incorrect date or wrong parana?
Email us with the date you saw in the app, the date you expected, and your city or tradition. We'll review and fix it as soon as possible.
How do I delete my data?
Most data lives only on your device — uninstalling the app removes it. If you provided an email address inside the app and want it removed from our server, write to and we'll delete it. See the Privacy Policy for details.
An important note
This app provides calendar dates and general information about Ekadashi practice. It does not replace guidance from your spiritual teacher, temple, or tradition. Fasting practices vary — please follow what is appropriate for your health and lineage.
